BAYBAY CITY- VSU student was found lifeless in a secluded area located in Barangay Gabas, Baybay City, a few hours after being reported missing by his own family. The authorities claimed that the student may have committed suicide for still unknown reasons.

The student was identified as Jeanji Requina Oquias, 28 years old male and a third year agriculture student of Visayas State University (VSU) main campus.

The incident was first reported in various Facebook chat groups of VSU students, a few minutes after a 48-hour lockdown order was issued by the LGU for Barangay Pangasugan where VSU is situated.

Prof. Manolo B. Loreto., the VSU Dean of Students and the Head of the University Students Services Office (USSO) is already informed of the incident. He promised to visit and condole with the family of the fallen Viscan anytime tomorrow.

Chad Christian Wales, President of the University Supreme Student Council (USSC) immediately convened his co-officers online to discuss the incident and explore on means to provide financial assistance to the bereaved family.
