Joshua Dayandayan bagged the 3rd place for the 2nd Ormoc Music Pop 2023 in celebration with the National Arts Month themed "Ani ng Sining, Bunga ng Galing" at Ormoc City Stage, February 25.
From 72 contenders to 8 grand finalists from different parts of Leyte, Dayandayan, the dream Balladeer from Merida, Leyte, battles his way to secure a spot in the top 3 and joined the final showdown against the remaining contenders from Ormoc City, the "Soulful Diva" and the " Raketira at Biriterang Momshie" from Tacloban City.
Dayandayan kicks off the night with the song " Go the Distance" by Michael Bolton as his ticket chance to make it to top 3 and wraps up the night with the mashup songs of Eraserheads" With a smile, Ang Huling El Bimbo, and Magasin" as his winning piece bagging the 3rd place.
"Kulba pero excited kaayo. I can't really put into words how I felt during that time. The moment I walked up the stage, I was telling myself that "ok, mao na jud ni. Final na!" and just surrendered everything to the Lord. I was not expecting na makakapsok ako sa top 3 because ang gagaling nilang lahat!! Sobra!! My main goal during that time was to really just enjoy the moment! Kaya ayun nung naka pasok sa top 3, nag concert inyo tiyo" shared by Dayandayan about his experience during the contest.

Dayandayan is also noted as one proud Viscan and a freshman Development Communication student that continuously brings honor to the VSU community as he snatched the Grand Championship title for the Vocal Duet at the 2022 Regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) Games.
Dayandayan also thanked everyone who supported him, as he felt the love from them and expressed his faith by giving glory to the Lord for his talent.
