Jude Eric Operio, Willian Andreana Miguello, and John Niño Derecho from Visayas State University (VSU) became the only representatives from the Visayas to attend the International Conference of Physics Students (ICPS), held both in Manila and Baguio City on September 7 - 13, 2023.
The event gathered diverse students in their undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programs from different countries within the field to speak, engage, collaborate, and network with one another in the pursuit of 'uplifting Physics'.
"The participation of our students in this conference would be of great help for the whole studentry to be exposed to the mainstream of physics organization networking and collaboration," said Jude Eric Operio, President of the VSU Applied Physics Society.
He further explained that the conference could be beneficial in the creation of their own research papers as they were given the opportunity to be oriented on concepts that were 'advanced' as well as being familiar with what is expected during the presentation of their papers.
