The Philippine Team obtained 5 medals facing off against over 4,000 dancers from over 55 countries in showcasing their movement dominance at the Hip Hop International (HHI) World Hip Hop Dance Championship 2024 held in Phoenix, Arizona, last August 5 to 10.

 

With their history as back-to-back champions last 2016 and 2017, UPeepz came back for their reign to grab gold in the MegaCrew Division for the third time. Their routine in all-black performance captivated the world stage and swept the top spot through all competition rounds.

 

As last year's Varsity Division finalist, A-Kidz made a triumphant return this year, clinching the Philippines’ first gold medal in the division and also the country's first podium finish with a bronze medal in the JV (Junior Varsity) MegaCrew Division.

 

The Peepz also made waves in the Adult Division, earning a silver medal after starting as the second and third-ranked team in the preliminary and semifinal rounds, respectively.

 

Meanwhile, defending champions HQ continued to flare on the world stage, claiming a bronze medal finish.

The Philippines topped the medal count with an impressive haul of two golds, one silver, and two bronze medals. Japan followed closely with one gold and three silver medals, while Canada secured one gold and one silver. 

The HHI World Hip Hop Dance Championship is considered the "Olympics" of hip-hop and street dance, featuring intense competition across multiple rounds.
