A celebration for art and connectivity took place as the 99th VSU founding anniversary “Art Exhibit for a Cause” kicked off today, April 17, anchored on the theme “PANAGSULTI” or conversation, which aims to showcase the diverse and vibrant art scenes of the Visayas, featuring the works of some of the talented homegrown artists in the region, held at the VSU Balay Alumni Buildings.

The art exhibit was curated by the VSU Alumni Community Relations Office (ACRO) and the VSU Alumni Association in cooperation with the Culture and the Arts Center (CAC). The exhibit was attended by VSU President Edgardo Tulin, alongside former VSU President Joe Bacusmo, Baybay SK Federation President Mark Un-lucay, and former Baybay City Mayor Hon. Carmen Cari, the event’s guest speaker.

Hon. Cari highlighted in her speech the importance of this Art Fair as an avenue of expression and connection among artists.

“PANAGSULTI is important in this art fair for a cause in expressing the feelings of the artists. Art has a unique way of connecting people,” she said.

The exhibit will run from April 17 to May 17 at the VSU Balay Alumni Buildings. You may visit and avail of these artworks as a support for the local art community.
