BAYBAY CITY, Philippines — The Office of the University President has issued a memorandum in the afternoon of January 16, Monday, suspending classes due to heavy rains and flooding in the campus brought about by a supposed low pressure area in the Visayas region.

PAGASA tracks the LPA to be at 100 km East Northeast of Borongan City Eastern Samar as of Monday, 4:00 AM. A gale warning that covers the Eastern and Western seaboards of Visayas has also been issued at 5:00 today, but now strong winds have been felt in VSU so far.

Only classes are suspended and work still continues in all offices in the University.
