BAYBAY CITY, Leyte — TheVSU Culture and Arts Center, led by Prof. Jesusito Lim, kicked-off its second Culture and Arts Festival on February 27, 2018 at the VSU Convention Center with the theme “Ani ng Sining, Alab ng Sining.”
The Culture and Arts Festival will be a two-day competition centered on music, dance, literary, performing arts and visual arts, as well as Mr. and Ms. PASUC.
Prof. Lim encouraged the participants to do their best so they can represent VSU well in the upcoming Regional PASUC.
“Good luck to all the participants, may the best man win. Try your best so that you will be awarded as representative for the regional competition,” Prof. Lim said.
He also added that the contestants for the Regional PASUC won’t be spending a single penny as VSU will be shouldering all expenses for the said event.
“For the Regional PASUC, the competitors will not be spending anything. It will be the VSU or the culture and the arts that will be spending, so they are free for everybody.”
The staff of the VSU Culture and the Arts Center themselves will be the acting trainer of the students who will qualify for the regional contest. The event will end with the Mr. and Ms. PASUC pageant on Wednesday, February 28, 2018.
VSU placed second during the 2017 Regional PASUC which was also held in the VSU-Main Campus.
