BAYBAY CITY, Leyte — In an unfortunate turn of events, occupants of the Mulberry Men’s Home have reported an incident of robbery after some students’ cash went missing.

The incident happened while the occupants were out on their acquaintance party at the VSU Convention Center, with sweetheart dormitory Mariposa Ladies Hall.

The missing cash amounted to at least P2,750, stolen from five occupants.

According to Devon Nerza, occupants left the quarters in the afternoon of August 26, Sunday, and returned the evening of the same day.

Student Assistant, Dante Larona assured that all doors were locked before leaving for the event.

“I was the last person to leave the dormitory before going to Convention Center. I am sure that all the doors were locked,” Larona said.

The incident has since been reported to the police by the Dorm Adviser, Mr. Roger Roque Bostamante, as well as the VSU Security Office.

The five occupants have been offered by their dorm mates to borrow money from them, as a remedy for their lost money.

On the other hand, no signs of theft have been identified at the Mariposa Ladies Hall, which was also empty at the time of the robbery.
