As the biggest culture and arts festival of Region 8 for this year comes to its end, two delegates from Visayas State University (VSU) secured places in the top five spots during the fourth day of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC-8) Regional Culture and Arts Festival at the Visayas State University, October 20. 

 

In the domain of the Performing Arts, the Tabing-VSU Theatre Organization gracefully secured the fifth spot in the Short and Sweet Play contest. Northwest Samar State University (NwSSU) ascended to first place, with Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) and Eastern Samar State University (ESSU) following behind as second and third places, respectively.

 

During the Radio Drama Competition, a quintet of BS Development Communication students, bearing the banner of VSU, secured fourth place. Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) stood high in first place with Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) following closely in second place and Samar State University (SSU) in third place.

 

Further, the four-day event ended during the closing ceremony as they awarded certificates to the top placers and focal people for the success of the event. In the end, VSU’s Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Daniel Leslie Tan officially declared the PASUC-8 Regional Culture and Arts Festival 2023 over.
