First year Agriculture student, Julius Obar Cabillon, also known for his alter-ego as “Julia” and “Anne Curtis” was pronounced dead on arrival at the VSU Hospital on Wednesday afternoon, September 14, 2016.
Julia suffered the attack outside of the VSU Gym at 5:45 pm and was brought to the Infirmary at 5:55 pm. A full 30-minute cardio-pulmonary resuscitation was performed in an attempt to revive him but did not show any vital signs.
According to Dr. Josephine Zafico, university physician, the official cause of the transgender’s death was a heart attack. Although Julia had a history of epileptic seizures, Dr. Zafico cannot confirm that the death is related to epilepsy.
Julia was fond of joining Miss Gay pageants. He was 28.
