Dr. Edgardo E. Tulin, VSU President, brought good news to the VSU community during his keynote speech for Intramurals 2016 when he shared his plan of extending the VSU gymnatorium's seating capacity and space.

"The gym has become too small for us. Next year, we will start to build the gym extension," the President said.

The opening program of this year's intramurals was held inside the gymnatorium due to bad weather conditions. Seeing the gym stuffed with thousands of people, Dr. Tulin ended up giving spoilers about his plans of building the gym extensions to accommodate the growing population of VSU.

The announcement was received with joyful shouts from the crowd. However, the President made it clear that the realization of this project may only be possible next year if the budget will permit the plans.

In his first year in office as the 6th VSU President, Dr. Tulin has laid out many plans for facility development in the University. Presently, several major construction projects are on-going around the campus. Most of these projects started at the time of Dr. Jose L. Bacusmo, former VSU President, but have been delayed due to several unforeseen factors.
